They don’t have to die – Omilling village needs help to get medicines.
In a case of a diarrhea, pregnancy or even a puncture wound – each is a dead sentence for someone living in Omilling village. This isolated village nestled between the mountains of central Eastern Equatoria state, and is several kilometer away from closest government run health clinic. It is so remote, and public transport doesn’t even go there due to lack of paved road.
The village has no sources of medical supplies and when people get sick they practice blood-letting. If this doesn’t work they die home quietly since they have no other choices.
With the funding our GlobalGiving donors Hope Ofiriha has purchased medication treat 200 children with pneumonia, and 300 patients for uncomplicated malaria.
