Through your support Yejj brings reliable solar lighting kits into the homes of Cambodian families with no access to electricity, improving their lives and increasing their income-generating potential
In Cambodia, 80% of the population is not connected to the electric grid. Most households use dangerous & inefficient kerosene lamps or car batteries. The lack appropriate energy resources means higher costs and more time spent gathering fuel, reducing the time available for productive activities such as going to school or working. Access to efficient energy services can dramatically improve people’s lives. They can empower households by freeing up time and money for other profitable activities.
Lighting is an important first step because it provides high economic, social, and environmental benefits at low cost. Solar lighting provides a efficient solution with no monthly fees or fuel costs.
Our goal is to break the poverty cycle created by the lack of access to modern energy services and empower households, not only with access to electricity, but more importantly, with increased productivity, savings, and a better lifestyle.
