Our 2012 Campers
Our 2012 Campers

Day 12 of our 30 day challenge and we have raised an amazing $4,154 from 49 donors.

That’s only $846 short of our challenge goal of $5,000 and almost half way to our project goal of $8,400. Thank you for helping us get this far!

Your donation will help bring Johanna and Sara to camp this summer.

You are giving them an incredible opportunity to get to know their ‘enemy’ and to become empowered as young leaders for peace.

The camp experience is best expressed by the participants themselves. These quotes are from young women who attended our 2012 camp:

“Before I came to camp I thought I knew everything about the conflict because I know Arabs. I was wrong. The people that I know have never been through a life like the girls here. I was amazed by their strength and the love in their hearts … And the most important, made me believe in myself, that I really can change the reality and that I should never stop dreaming. Change is in us and we can control our lives and always find the strength to love and forgive.” Shelly, Jewish Israeli

“I expected that I wouldn’t know how to talk to the other side, but it was very easy. I will never forget this experience or take it for granted. I believe in peace because it can be achieved.” Janet, Palestinian from the West Bank

“The camp is the most amazing, powerful experience I’ve had in my life. I came with expectations to have fun and meet new friends but I left full of skills for life, new friends that have really been there for me and supported me at difficult moments. My advice is to come – it is positive and life-changing.” Eden, Jewish Israeli

“I’m holding my experience in this camp not as three weeks in life but a life in three weeks. I’ve learned a lot and gained a lot and I hope that I’ll pass my experience and knowledge to all the people around me. I appreciate such opportunity to converse, fight, argue, love, listen, and respect at the same time. I’ve learned that there’s no way to peace, peace is the way.” Shaden, Palestinian living in Israel
