Thanks to the generous support of so many people we have been able to reach yet more children in our tenth year, and now have over 500 volunteer mental health professionals helping us do that, and over 260 new therapists in the pipeline. In fact, we can now say that we have provided over 2500 therapy years to this highly vulnerable population!
Evaluation of our work shows that even after one year, the children we serve show significant improvement in a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and dissociative states – all of which substantially interfere with emotional and cognitive development. A Home Within, with your help, is successfully helping these great kids become healthy, strong and promising members of the community. Thank you!
Our premise remains the same as we move toward our eleventh year: “One child. One therapist. For as long as it takes.”
