50 HIV/AIDS positive children in Kumasi will be provided with Anti Retroviral Therapy drugs, nutritional supplements and financial support for monthly review in HIV Clinic and the acess to educaiton
Most of HIV/AIDS positive children are orphans and even for those whom parents are alive, the parents are economically inactive because of their HIV/AIDS status. The lack of financial support from the family makes these children unable to enjoy a normal childhood. Therefore, these children need our support to have a better growing environment so that they will be self sufficient when they grow up and be able to integrate themselves into the society.
LIFOC will provide ART drugs and nutritional supplements for all the 50 HIV/AIDs positive children on a monthly basis for one year. These children will be financially assisted to attend monthly medical reviews and access to education for one year.
All the 50 children would have matured and acquired adequate education who can then earn a living and sustain their life by being able to buy the ART drugs and nutritional supplements themselves.
