Game On! Youth Sports program will provide ALL children with the opportunity to actively participate in sports and physical education by exposing them to the skills and knowledge of individuals.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Due to lack of getting the opportunity to take part in quality sports programs and reap the many healthy physical and emotional benefits for millions of Kenyan children, Game On! school plan introduces children in the primary grade 1-3 to the skills development necessary to participate and enjoy sports activities. Children in grade 4-8 are given introduction in the rules, knowledge,skills requirements for a predetermined number of specific sports as determined by the local community.
How will this project solve this problem?
Game On! Youth Sports program operates by training grassroot soccer coaches from the community and P.E teachers on proper sports skills introduction in early children, promoting the value of sports can bring to the overall development of children.
Potential Long Term Impact
Game On!youth sports aspires to allow ALL children the opportunity to be introduced to sports by introducing them to the skills and knowledge of individual sport through the school system and for them to participate in integrated life skills.
