Map of UNIMIX People in the drought hit areas are experiencing malnutrition due to lack of food that has resulted to underfeeding of many children.The hospitals in this areas are full of malnourished children and require proper diet in order to improve and recover their health. Thanks to the government that has started supplying an enriched flour known as "unimix" valued at Ksh 30 million to the drought affected areas in the northern parts of Kenya. The flour which is given to underfed children in addition to medicine,will help to deal with malnutrition and other diseases arising from poor nutrition. Read more.
