The project will focus on provision of excellent community healthcare services to over 1000 poor people who are members in the Happy Health Insurance Scheme, as well as to non members. The immediate aim is the;- 1. Extension of electricity to our premises 2. Construction of an extension house on our HHIS Clinic building to house the Diagnostic centre 3. Construction of a 4-Stance VIP latrine with bathrooms and a urinal. 4. Purchase of equipments for the clinic and Diagnostic centre
The needs/challenges facing the 1000+ members of HHIS are:- 1) Lack of electricity on our premises 2) Congestion in the HHIS Clinic building because it works as a clinic, laboratory, hostel and the house is too small for these activities. 3) Lack of a good and standard VIP latrine with bathrooms and a urinal on our premises. 4) Lack of high quality equipments for the clinic and Diagnostic centre
. We shall do the following ;- 1. We shall extend electricity to our premises 2. We shall construct an extension house on our HHIS Clinic building to house the Diagnostic centre 3. We shall construct a 4-Stance VIP latrine with bathrooms and a urinal for members. 4. We shall purchase equipments for the clinic and Diagnostic centre This will make it possible to provide excellent community healthcare services community members who are members in the insurance and non members.
a) To increase sustainability of the project by providing medical equipment such as microscopes, X-Ray machines and others which will be used for diagnosis purpose at a fee for non members. Funds raised from these diagnostic activities will be used to expand and sustain primary healthcare programme for the benefit of the poor. b) An additional goal is to reduce the incidence of recurrent diseases and to enable individuals to become more active and productive members of their homes.
