Freedom Collaborative

We've been hard at work in efforts to expand the Freedom Registry globally, but also to make it better. That's right —we're adding a few new tools this month! On the 25th of April we will be releasing Freedom Registry 2.0. It will include an interactive map (shown above) along with a general interface overhaul and an API. Let's take a deeper look into these three tools:

• Interactive Data Visualization Map: Users will be able to toggle between our new interactive map and the list-view of the organizations on the Freedom Registry. We've built the map in a way so that filters can be stacked on top of each other, and so that the number of organizations in a location meeting applied search filters display in proportional sizes. This tool will enable the movement to see where there are gaps (literally) in specific aspects of victim services.

• API: "API" stands for Application Programming Interface — think of it as a way for other applications to connect with our vetted users. This window of information will essentially allow any developer, anywhere in the world, to create their own tools which our registered users will be able to interact with. It's exciting to think that any third-party group will be able to build their own tools for the movement!

• Interface Overhaul: We've redesigned the Freedom Registry website so that it will work better on mobile devices including smart phones. On the 25th of this month we will reveal this new look and these new tools.
