PMWO is operating the world's largest charity Plasmapheresis and Platelets Apheresis project in Pakistan for the free treatment of poor and needy patients with Neurological disorders (Myasthenia Gravis,GBS,CIDP,POLYNEUROPATHY,TTP and Others). PMWO is also dedicated to providing free Platelets Apheresis service to needy patients with Dengue fever and cancer. Plasmapheresis is a less cost effective treatment than IVIG Therapy and this is the reason that developing countries prefer Plasmapheresis.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Neurological disorder like Myasthenia Gravis and GBS illness affects mostly young women and children and they need a rapid clinical management and Plasmapheresis in one of the most effective treatment for critical patients with Myasthenia Gravis,GBS,CIDP,TTP and Polyneuropathy.PMWO is the only charitable Health Organisation which provides free treatment to poor and needy young children and women with Neurological disorders.Mobile Plasmaperesis and platelets have a great value for the poor.
How will this project solve this problem?
This is life saving health project and will provide first hand advanced healthcare facility of Plasmapheresis with additional service of mobile platelets apheresis for the Dengue fever and cancer patients.Many young women and children who have been reporting from the poor population will get free treatment and after the treatment they will get a normal life and will play a significant strong role to get a better quality of social life for suffering families.
Potential Long Term Impact
After the treatment many poor and needy Myasthenia Gravis patients life quality will be improved and they will be able to contribute appropriate role in the development of family social economic status.Dengue fever is creating an alarming situation in the developing countries and this project will provide free service of mega unite platelets to needy patients with dengue and cancer.Plasmapheresis has a tremendous role in the treatment of thousands of patients with Myasthenia,GBS,CIDP and others.
