Vacation time and teachers meeting held in Peru

One of the key responsibilities of this Project is to strengthen our teachers and help them promote their development so they can continue offering rich learning experiences to our students. On this summer vacation for the students, We met with our team of teachers in Lima, and we got involved in the evaluation and preparation of materials for the next opening classes on personal development, family, interpersonal skills, etc. - during the year 2014.

During the months of January and February we received quite a number of donations for our program. These donations appeared in our donation manager, and we were very thankful for these gifts, and we even started to make new plans for the course for the year 2014. Sadly after a week or so, we received a few messages from our dear partners Global Giving that the donations given were removed from our Project and refunded, because the donations were made fraudulently. It was sad for us to hear that people will do something like this.

We are still looking forward to receiving your help, and want to say a big thank you for our teachers who are truly the key to the future for these vulnerable and needed students.

You can not stop learning

You can not stop learning!

By Teacher Erika Contreras (Nurse) and Rosita Raffo (Project Leader)

We the teachers of this new group class get to see these women helping other people and patients through their training, learning and jobs. We also know that they have been able to better provide for their families - and we are very excited and very proud of what they have accomplished. Most of these women come from families that were not able to afford the basic needs of life.

For this new group of students we have a great need of AV400 Units with Batteries

(The AV400 is handheld and lightweight, weighing 9.7 ounces using digital vein pattern projection with universal and inverse modes)

Erika teaching

One of our main purpose is to educate a Nurse Assistant to work with individuals, families, groups and communities from a health promotion perspective and with an ethic of caring.

It is wonderful to see how our teacher do and how this program is assisting Students to develop sensitivity to people's experiences with health and healing. Students are learning to work as partners with clients and with other health care providers, and through their understanding of and participation in the changing health care system, Students will be active participants in creating health for all!

We thank all of you that help us make this dream possible.
