Summary

Burbank Temporary Aid Center provides over $500,000 worth of food to Burbank's poor and those who have fallen on hard times. Most donated items are canned and packaged goods. In order to provide more balanced and healthful options for our clients, we request funds to help purchase dairy, meats and fresh produce.

Challenge

BTAC receives primarily donations of canned or packaged goods. In order to provide more healthful foods, including fresh produce, meats and dairy items, funds are needed to purchase these items.

Solution

The additional funds will allow BTAC to purchase these items in order to provided a better balanced selection of foods for families.

Long-Term Impact

Better balanced meals will help create health for families and individuals. When feeling healthier, most people are more positive about their life and circumstances.
