Map of DISASTERS Among the family and areas where will unfortunateky continue to be subject to droughts flood and/or epidemic of human or animal diseases. Some are also forced to migrate in search for better live. Some might experience continuing or new outbreaks of violence, conflict and instability. Government, Local authorities and assistance agencies must therefore be prepared to respond rapidly when necessary to contain diseases out breaks and to respond to the humanitarian needs of people whose loves and/or livelihoods are threatened by unusual droughts or flood or by conflict. Poor Rains

Map of POOR RAINS Number of people in need of food assistance increase further if the region which part of uganda,continue to receive poor rains. The outlook for rains in eastern parts of the horn is worring especially combined with rising food and fuel price and conflict. If the latest meteorologist forcasts of below -normal long rains in eastern horn are correct,The crisis will worsen in those areas and more people will go hungry. Read more.

A Great Boost That Came Timely

Map of A GREAT BOOST THAT CAME TIMELY Children who get bitten or stung by a hard stings of suffering in life take up the challenge to work much harder towards success. Confronted with a similar hostile experience when my father died.I was exposed to circumstances that forced me to double my efforts every time in life. Hope in zion were a booster to me by supporting my education from class 3 in 2009 to date.They have since given me importance to aim higher in education and life in general. They are my provider of basic needs so much that i now have hope for my future. Read more.

Long Term Solution To Drought And Famine

Map of Long term solution to drought and famine More than half the population of Turkana was already dependant on food aid before the drought,and the number has increased the crisis.This has come into attention of the government and now they have come in actively to help calm the situation. Through the district commissioners of the worst affected areas,They have been able to distribute food to the hunger victims.They have also been able to seek long solution term to that problem.This area which have actually worked at Turkana East.Many people are able to grow crops using water from river Turkwel. Map of TRANSFORMING AFRICA Kofi Annan was the 7th secretary of the united nations. born on 8th April 1938 is a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the 7th secretary general of the united nations from 1st January 1997 to 31st december 2006. Annan and the united nation were the co-operation of the 2001 nobel peace prize for his founding the Global Aids and wealth fund to support development countries in the struggle to care for their people. Also Annan has done a good job for bringing peace in Kenya in 2007 when there was violence. he is a great man and has been blessed for his work. Read more.

Map of HELPED BY A MINDFUL ORGANIZATION My name is Faith Shiranda,i am 19years old.In 2001 while i was only 9 years old, i lost my mother it did not take long before my father also followed,just after two years.This was because of the killer disease,Aids. I was left wit two younger brothers to take care of being the elder with the support of our uncle we managed to move on through a rough face. I was in primary and worked on through to form one in Lwanda secondary It was while i was in form one that i got heck smiling at me as APHIA 2 picked me among beneficiaries in Lwanda Secondary school to be supported with the payment of tuition fees -In 2010 i finished form four which is now to enable me to join college.I intend to study accounts and work in a bank as a banker. The Future Belongs To The Innovative

Map of THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THE INNOVATIVE Tabitha Mutanyi is my mother and a member of Jisaidie Support Group in Kakamega North District. It is a development idea to help support the HIV/AIDS victims, the widows and youth in general. This idea is one that has greatly helped our family. We previously could not raise money for food, clothes until I saw my mother two years ago join the Group. Since that time poverty is a thing of the nest as we can now afford so many things we couldn't afford then. With more financial support for this support group the future is brilliant for these members. I am in class eight in Shinda Primary. Read more.
