Detailing Expenditure for the Project
Listed here is a report of how Santepheap, the Cambodian Children’s House of Peace (CCHP) has used money donated for our recent project “Food and Education for Cambodian Orphans” through the GlobalGiving.
Firstly, the Board of CCHP would like to sincerely thank donors and the Global Giving organization for assisting us to raise funds to provide much needed help in providing food needs and educational services to the 33 destitute children under our care. Without this support, our organization simply would cease to exist and the children under our care would be unable to take the opportunities presented through our organization.
The funds provided have been used exclusively for two areas of need----- namely, Food needs and Educational Services.
Food : Monthly food costs for all 33 children amount to some US $1,220 per month. (Occasionally a little more, depending on seasonal produce costs).
This comprises some US$200 per month for white rice (or US$25 per bag, and 2 bags required per week).
Market and breakfast costs account for US$1,020 per month. Made up of items from local markets such as oil, onions, seasoning, fish and other sauces, soy and other cook supplies. Fresh produce such as fish, meat, vegetables and seasonal fruit.
Education : Cost of school uniforms and a pair of shoes per child is $20 per year. ($660 for the year)
A daily school allowance is required by the local school boards for materials. For all children, this amounts to a monthly cost to us of $120.
An amount of $9 per child (or $297 for the year) for individual personal items. (Provided items such as note books; text books; pens and pencils; etc.)
In conclusion, should additional information be required, we would be happy to furnish this.
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
