Challenge

When you ask any expectant parent if they wat a boy or a girl, the answer is alsmost always the same, they don't mind as long as their baby is healthy. Sadly one in 30 babies in the UK will be born with a medical condition or disability. The effects can be devastating for families and change their lives forever. At Sparks, we want to change this. Our vision is for all babies to be born healthy and grow up healthy!

Solution

Sparks funds pioneering medical research and is one of the few UK charities that seek to find treatments and cures across a whole spectrum of childhood conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.

Long-Term Impact

Our breakthroughs have helped thousands of children who only a few years ago may not have survived, let alone grow up to enjoy school, kick a ball or play with friends. Sparks funded research will continue to help more children have a healthy life.
