Updates from the Dr. JesusA.Datu Medical Center

Prosthetics fitting
Prosthetics fitting

This report will focus on the Prosthetics program. In 2012, 110 below the knee prosthetics were manufactured at the JADMC and distributed to the needy. We completed construction for the rehabilitation center and physical therapists from Arellano University have commenced the rehabilitation program. We have two fulltime prosthetics technicians and are training two more.

Our plans for 2013 include:

  • target for 190 below the knee prosthetics
  • establishment of a sach foot factory
  • equipment purchase is ongoing
  • expand the workplace for the technicians
  • establish contactabroad for above the knee components through the Red Cross

We are proud to announce that the JADMC is one, if not the only, Disability Center for the indigent in all of Southeast Asia.
