GRADUATION DAY FOR 35 ECD CHILDREN TO CLASS ONE

It was a great day for 35 children from ECD at Chepkaitit when they were having a meal together with their parents, teachers and awarded with Certificates by the Director of Juhudi Children in Crisis. Juhudi has been strongly supporting their education and seeing them moving to the next steps in life. These children have been part of the 68 children supported in getting food to keep them in school. They have been having good learning time with their teachers.

It was a challenge mentioned from the head teacher of Chepkaitit primary school where these children will be schooling, saying “we appreciate the work that has been done by Juhudi. Majority of these children are young and it is becoming a challenge to us as teachers because when it’s ten o’clock, they want to go back to kitchen to get porridge. We are therefore requesting if there is a way of supporting children in class one to also get porridge we will appreciate” Said Nemwel Nyachieo Head teacher chepkaitit primary school. “We are pleased with the support that you have given and you are still giving these children. Thanks very much director and all those behind this good work. Be blessed and continue to support more and more” Said Mama Emily a parent of one of the graduant.

Children get food support

It was a very exciting moment for the children as they received maize for porridge at Chepkaitit ECD. More than 65 children with 8 orphans benefited from the Juhudi Children In Crisis Feeding program.  “Am very happy for your continued support for these young ones as they are going to grow well without any problem of malnutrition and they will continually attend school as they are sure of getting at least a meal. These children need support as majority do not take anything at home before they come to school,” Boniface Gisore ECD teacher commented. Juhudi will continue to support these children as most of the families where they come from were affected by the post election violence in Kenya and now that they cannot cater for their families well.

Source of my Happiness

Lucas has just closed school and very happy to join other children in having fun. Very intelligent boy, Lucas says that his happiness is in Juhudi children because it provides with what he needs and uses his time to play with other children. Lucas reminds us that we continually bring some of his friends to the program as they are in same class with same challenges. That his friends only have one meal a day. As now he will be using most of his time learning small games as he uses the small games to relate what he has been leaning in school. The best part of it, he will be getting his meal and his friends till the schools are opened.

Happiest Children

Happiest Children
Happiest Children

It was a memorable time that children will never forget as they shared and used their time playing and eating together. In the month of April to October children face a challenge of food in Trans-nzoia leaving them with many chellenges as youngones. Juhidi take it meager resources to the neediest children. It was at this time that children played small games to open up their mind and have all sort of fun with others. You could hear children shouting and saying in local language that we are very happy and the games are good. Children need time to play with each other and food that will give them energy to get focused and moving on. It is through your support that all these become successful and we thank all those who are behind this for the children who will never forget.

Happiest moments for children

Monica and Lillian can't forget the fun and enjoying moment when they were proud roughing after Juhudi children in crisis shared meals together before the close of 2012. After spending their most of the time in school and some of them not meeting their peers in the course of the year, these children were smiling and enjoying themselves. It was such moment that will remain in their minds for years to come and times that they will never have taught nor their parents in life. It was exciting moment that children will never forget as they also started a New Year together where they shared there experience as they were on the past. Thanks for your continuity support as you made this children smile all the way from 2012 to now 2013.
