This project raises funds for Friends of the Animal Center Foundation for programs at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center serving Johnson County, Iowa, caring for 3000 animals annually
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
This project raises funds for:
The Medical Fund- for veterinary care, giving animals with an injury or illness a second chance at a new life
The Paws to Train Program- allows a shelter dog to attend a 6 week obedience class which helps them get adopted
Humane Education programs throughout our community, teaching the humane treatment of all animals
Quality of Life Enhancement- keeping the shelter animals happy and healthy while they wait for a forever
How will this project solve this problem?
This projects activities will raise money to directly help the homeless animals at the shelter.
Potential Long Term Impact
Helping animals in need of medical care, training, or just the basic needs, we give them a second chance at a new life. By spaying and neutering, we help lessen the pet overpopulation problem. The long term impact is fewer homeless animals.
