Over the past year the Uganda Little League built on the success they had from last year's Little League World Series. With the help from Pitch In For Baseball more children have gained access to baseball and softball. Unlike the United States, many of the leagues in Uganda are actually school based. This requires children to relocate to the school and live in the dormitories. This past year the Allen V R Stanley Secondary School team in Nakiribie was formed and their team won their qualifier to play in their regional championship. Because the team had five players from a neighboring town the team did not meet residency requirements to qualify for the World Series. This was a small set back for the little league's goal of reaching the Little League World Series for a second time. However, the team continues to practice and get better and have learned from this restriction.
