Project Personnel

Suraya Sadeed - Executive Director

Suraya Sadeed was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan and immigrated to the United States after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. During the height of the Afghan civil war, she shocked by the horrific conditions of children and the destruction of her homeland. She established Help the Afghan Children and has been a leader in introducing many innovative educational models and programs.

Mohammad Yousuf Jabarkhail - Country Director, HTAC

Mr. Jabarkhail has over 25 years experience in teaching, training, consulting, and managing educational programs in Afghanistan as well as successfully managing programs, projects, and personnel. He developed HTAC’s teacher training program and acts as a critical liaison between HTAC, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education, provincial and district government officials and local communities leaders.
