The Mobile School screening team of Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital worked with dedication and put in their concerted effort to find out maximum school going children with refractive error. During the period our Mobile School Screening team visited maximum government Schools, especially in the villages. This time maximum stress was given to the girls schools / girls Madrassas. Apart from Mobile School Screening project this hospital also carried out Free Eye Camps in following areas to find maximum patients with Cataract problems. So that their surgery can be performed in this hospital free of cost.
Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital also established 2 days free eye camp in Islamabad for orphan children (Sweet Homes) and examined 2150 children for reflective error. During visit to various schools the team screened 6725 school going children and issued spectacles to 4320 children free of cost. Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital provided free medicines worth of 14456 US dollars and glasses worth of 5626 US dollars to the patients during free eye camps and also performed 1520 Cataract Surgeries free of Cost Our effort in squint child patient in collaboration with Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar was very successful and all those children with squint problem referred to Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar were treated successfully
Khyber Eye Foundation Hospital is very thankful to its donors who are contributing towards this noble cause. This hospital and our team will continue their effort in eradicating blindness for the poor people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa specially in children
