Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital continued its mission to eradicate blindness and establishment of Free Eye Camps in far flung area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During this period Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital established 10 Free Eye camps and provided free of cost glasses and medicines. This Hospital established special Free Eye Camps in following areas
1. Swabi
2. Peshawar and surrounding areas
3. Mardan
4. Swat
5 Buner
6. Malakand
7. Haripur / Abbottabad
Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital continued its mission to eradicate blindness in school going children and visited various schools of Khyber Pakhtunkwa.
Our team carried out teachers training of various schools and also screened 9145 school going children and issued spectacles to 1985 children free of cost.
The Mobile School Screening team and team of Free Eye Camps provided Medical Aid concerning to eye diseases to 1985 children 1405 women and 1250 elderly patients. The following treatments have been met out the affected patients. Cataract Surgeries of 1250 elderly men and women.
Provision of Free spectacles to 1985 school going children and 2655 elderly men and women amounting to $11460.
provision of free medicines worth of 15000 US dollars to eradicate eye diseases.
Our mobile school screening team has been able to protect 200 children from blindness. The Foundation, currently looking after 150 to 250 out door patients every day. and also carrying out 35 to 40 cataract surgeries per day
Future Plan:
Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital in tense to visit maximum schools tp find out more children affected with eye diseases and taking concrete measures to eradicate blindness in children.
