The project will help children victim of violence and living in the street, to have a safe place to build their life project. The shelter supports 150 children on a 24h basis and 150 during the day.
The economic situation of Morocco had a strong impact on families. Because of economic difficulties, several families put their children in difficult circumstances (children working to support their families...). Also, because of strong family difficulties children leave their families to live in the street, which has severe impacts on them. It is announced that more than 6000 children are living in the street in Casablanca and more than 70000 children are working and not going to school.
The shleter opened by Bayti 10 years ago, is not only an assistance centre. The main objective of this shelter is to support children and their families - when they have one, to go one step beyond and give them the tools to built their life projects
Since the beginning of its work, Bayti support more than 7500 families and 18 000 children, to have a new way of living. Bayti's programs support the child to have access to education which is the only way to change the future of this child
