Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley is building a new expanded preschool on the campus of a community college in Huntington Beach. Funds donated on GlobalGiving will buy classroom supplies.
Families with parents trying to go back to school to get ahead in today's economy need affordable childcare they can count on. The expanded new preschool on the Golden West College campus will provide just that when it opens in 2010. 80% of children served at this site will be from low-income families who are struggling and need our help. Please help get these children off to the right start by putting them on the path to success in school.
In 2010, BGCHV will build, equip, and operate 9 classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Your support will buy much needed supplies for children to learn through play, while they receive loving care from dedicated, well-trained staff.
Quality preschool education has a lifelong impact on children. By entering school well-prepared, they are set up for a lifetime of academic successes. And, the preschool's location on a community college campus means that parents are learning too.
The Boys and Girls Club is now my family. They provide an encouraging and safe place for my daughter and for me. Not only is my daughter growing and learning each day, I am too.
