Map of Say No to corruption The ministry security of Internal security and Administration brought stakeholders in the Business sector Motorists,Pedestrians,Local NGOs and citizens in kakamega town to a seminar on tackling corruption.Delicate involvement in bribery by police officers of which are fully conscious what they are doing is socially wrong and legally punishable everyone in the audience ought to know said the spokesperson. That many police officers and public engage in corruption is not news.Neither is the fact that they know is wrong what is shocking however is the magnitude of the problem to the community towards poverty. The public should avoid giving bribes and police officers avoid asking for bribes.The local NGOs and CBOs were encouraged to preach the word of saying No to corruption. Read more.

Having had a close interaction with the developers of vision Packers, I am too much tempted to conclude that this enterprise will go a long way in tackling core issues in our community. VisionPackers has since 2008 been a forward looking, focussed panacea to our people especially the youth. It has developed a high quality processing of PEANUT and SIM SIM BUTTER which is a better alternative to foods that cause weight, Diabetes, cancer and are products that are of health support to individuals which only individuals which only utilize the local raw materials. The community has also had an opportunity to benefit from cooporate social activitiesof Vision Packers. Read more.

Map of CORRUPTION Corruption has always been a great vice in the community.Although the government tries so hard to stop it, in Mombasa ithas gone to the extreme end.Anything and everything productives is done through corruption. When there happens to be a job opportinity anywhere it has to be bribed, paid for and this realy pushes an average Mombasa residents to the wall. Most people engaged in corrupt deals to offer jobs opportunities which are not realy permanent.to get a job connection, one pays a certain amount of money and sometimes,people fail to get jobs because they could not pay lee amount.corruption is also evident when government pragramme are to be implemented.Some people connect with politicians and get more shares than others. Poltry Keeping

Map of POLTRY KEEPING I am a youth and i had already married. I participate in daily activities to sustain my family is poltry keeping. I have been keeping poltries for last four years. I started thise business of keepung poltry after visitinjg my neighbour who earned more in poltry. I took that advantage and started keeping them from that time hense forth they rae the one whioch i use for payikng school fee, sustaining my daily breads and paying kvetinary foe poltry and i will be happy if i see my fellow youth who does not have work sustaining a work in my poltry farm. i congralatulate nNAMATSI SELF HELP GROUP for boosting my farm one step to another but those remain a step to accomplish mly farm problems. My farm faces a lot of challenges evreyday the main problems that i face in my farm is death of my poltry due to small room that is used to accomodate them. If i allow them to move randomly ,in the village they are attacked by wild dogs and spreaded diseas from infected poltry from my neighbour farm. I have a shamba that can be used for expandtion of my poltry room but i dont have fund to establish it i would like to ask any one who could be able to assit me in this situation to do so. Map of FRATELA GROUP A day passed by the day when i had an dream of harvesting water. It took me time to think a way of helping people until such a time i gained courage of collecting people together by organising self help groups in the village. I had to go to the community based organisation for help nad by so diong we get to organise digging water holes to survive people. This was a way of doing things as in alot days when people used to work together by forming "HARABEE" by pulling together. A Great Change And Boost To Communication In The Community.

Map of  A GREAT CHANGE AND BOOST TO COMMUNICATION IN THE COMMUNITY. A major transformation to communicate had been adequately ensured by service providers like Airtel and Safaricom an the major players. Airtel has emerged as a heavy weight in their right, easening and necesitating development more rapidly than any time before. Airtel has made people to require mobile phones and communicate more cheaply at affordable rates thereby bringing about real change in the community. A lot of services are managed through the Airtel service provision. Airtel currently is also supporting other projects in the community through sponsoring students from poor families to attain education. Also banking and transaction for business through ZAP mobile service has played a key role in enabling people develop on a relatively large scale. Read more.

Map of SPORTS Lack of work means that many young people have nothing to do all day.So,the development of sports is very important work to them.This involves setting up teams,organsing competitions,training and offering sponsorships. There are many sports organisations that work within Nairobi but due to lack of sponsorship,they fall down and totally fail function. There are football teams,basketball teams and volleyball teams that are not well established.The government of Kenya through the Ministry of education has been trying to help develop the teams and provide sponsorships but this has not worked.There is more need to help support the sports fraternity and improve the talents of the youths who struggle to realise their dreams. A Talent To Be Nurtured

Map of A TALENT TO BE NURTURED It was in the year 2008 when i met a young man while on my normal routine of playing soccer.A young man with a strong heart full of positive mind and hope very optimistic but with nothing to boast of. after a brief period of training together and making friendship i came to discover that the young man was an orphan.lost his father in ethnic clashes and were (together with his young siblings) raised up by their grandparents after being chased away from their farm in order to pay their school fees and provide food food for the family. After realizing that he had so many talents he decided to came to Nairobi and try his luck though he had nobody and nowhere to look at.he was taken in by a friend just for a short time as he continued to try.i saw a need to assist this young man with whatever small i had but more so i kept on encouraging him.through hard and determination the young man has been able to do a lot and helped the siblings though not much. i thank God that currently he is trying his luck in football since it is been hard for him to get a stable job,I am glad that the man can afford a smile though given a chance an opportunity he can go far since he is talented in many things and is also bright.
