SELF CARE TO SALT PAN WOMEN WORKERS
At Sangukuzhi colony area are mostly of salt pan daily wage workers. Of them women are going to work for saltpan daily wages. They have no concern about their health condition. Because of this situation they don’t give any attention to their health and to their childrens health. Therefore we planned to provide them an awareness programme centering their health condition. As the women are mostly working with the saltpan in this area, we chose them.
On 11.04.12 , 05.05.12 , 29.05.12 (3 trainings) we convened an awareness meeting at their area sangukuzhi colony are most of the women participated in this meet Mrs. Sudha Global Giving aided project staff offered training to the participated women. The trainer Mrs.Sudha suggested the participants and offered awareness to them. She mentioned the following points.
Some women participated in this programme have the RTI problem (Reproductive Track Infection). We suggested them to follow the above said instructions. Also we asked them to consult a doctor regarding their infection. Also we told them about the “Self care” and emphasized the same. Most of the women participated in this programme said that it was so beneficial to them we encourages them to share these points to other women who did not participate in that meeting.
