Lack of rains has rendered farmers jobless, leading to high poverty in the rural communities of Ghana, 150 Women would be empowered.through: Capacity building,Micro-finance & Energy stoves & bulbs
Lack of rain fall has rendered a lot of farmers jobless.Children drop-out from school increase, teenage pregnancy high,maternal and child mortality increased, rural urban drift increase, lost of important trees and plants,the main two planting season has change to one. 150 women would be empowered in the seven communities in central region of Ghana and promotion of efficient stoves and bulbs by the people.
Planting of trees , encourage use of efficient stoves, provision of energy bulbs and solar lamps,provision of trees nursery seedlings, supply of free seedlings to farmers and community members,planting of drought resistant plant.
1- 150 women trained in employable skills 2- 120 women provided with micro-finance 3- 150 rural women supported with energy bulbs and stoves 4- Rural women get more jobs 5- Socio-economic status of the rural women improved
