Michelle Mazzeo - Project Organizer
Michelle co-founded the EDGE Project after interning for the International Fund for Agricultural Development in Washington, D.C. She has volunteered in Dominican Republic and Ecuador and studied rural microfinance in Nicaragua. She is passionate about grassroots development for empowerment and sustainable change- ideals which are central to the EDGE Project.
Marissa Mommaerts - Project Organizer
Marissa was inspired to co-found the EDGE Project based on her experiences studying in Nigeria, volunteering in Peru, and interning for Realizing Rights: the Ethical Globalization Initiative. She is passionate about sustainable development, human rights and grassroots organizing, and hopes to continue pursuing these ideals in all her future work.
Paul Atwell - Co-director of Operations
Paul joined the organization in the fall of 2010 as a freshman. He led an agriculture research team, which found ways of addressing growing poverty and poor food security on Lingira Island. He traveled to the island the following summer to implement the garden among other projects. Paul believes strongly that people are always the problem and the solution in areas of development work.
