Empowering 500 Rwandan women living with HIV/AIDS

Enrolling HIV/AIDS women in income Generating Cooperatives

The women empowerment project has made tremendous strides in uplifting the livelihoods of HIV/Aids women.

The women have been facilitated to join cooperatives which will provide income such as Basketry weaving, tailoring and Brick making.

Women who have benefitted from these initiatives such as Uwimana Goretti cannot hide their joy. In her own words she boasts of an income which has made her not to feel a lesser person in society. She’s most proud that she’s been able to provide for herself and the children who depend on her consistently and with loving care. Previously she was discriminated against and also the stigma associated with her Hiv/Aids status made it impossible to make ends meet.

We appreciate our donors for making a difference in these women lives and look forward to more donations towards this cause.
