Women struggling with homelessness often face considerable challenges, such as mental illness, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Since 1979, Sarah's Circle has empowered women to overcome these challenges.
Women at Sarah's Circle may face multiple challenges in their lives that inhibit them from overcoming poverty and/or homelessness. These challenges include domestic violence, mental illness, physical disabilities and substance abuse. Making matters worse, there is a lack of government-funded health services in our area, as well as a lack of agencies serving the homeless.
Sarah's Circle is the only agency in our area that provides comprehensive services - i.e. food, toiletries, hygiene, clothing, computers, personalized case management, health services and housing - that cater specifically to women who are homeless.
By providing housing assistance, personalized case management, health services, and life necessities, we encourage women to empower themselves by rebuilding both emotionally and physically, and ultimately realizing their unique potential.
"Never have I seen a level of compassion and a staff so dedicated to helping those who want to help themselves."
