Sarah’s Circle saw a record number of women come through our doors during 2009. Over 700 utilized our life-changing services over the course of a year. In 2009 we increased our meal program, advanced our clinical services program, and developed & started extensive plans to enhance our housing program. These wonderful improvements will allow us to provide more women with a greater depth of services.

The success stories of our women are varied and numerous. Consider Barbara who became homeless after her husband of 25 years passed away due to cancer. She was financially dependent on her husband and after he passed away she found herself homeless. Without any other support system, Barbara was left to the mercy of supportive services and emergency shelters. She struggled and continues to struggle with many physical health complications. With the opportunity to be in permanent housing through Sarah’s Circle, she is able to make her health a priority as well as receive continued support. She has now been in Sarah’s Circle’s subsidized housing program for nearly two years.
