A magic source of livelihood

Aisha 56years has lived with AIDS since 2009. She lost her husband in 2006. She lives with a granddaughter aged 13years who lost both parents to AIDS.

In 2010 she became bed ridden. Due to lack of support she sold most her property in order to sustain her life. She virtually remained with nothing except a small house where they lived.

In 2011, Aisha received two goats from RACOBAO under GlobalGiving Support. The goats have enhanced her sense of property ownership. The goats are her biggest asset now. The goats have now multiplied. Aisha recently said “we will be able to meet our household needs like buying food, paraffin, and food with the proceeds from the goats. I will be able to send my grandchild to school with the goats”.

Aisha now is living happily although on ARVs. She has hope in case of any problem, goats can her immediate rescue. She greatly thanks RACOBAO and Global Giving who have given her a chance to enjoy life like other families.
