The Embrace team would like to sincerely thank you for your generosity and good will in assisting our cause. Our work would not be possible without donors like you.
We are on the verge of completing our mission, as we continue to make great progress on the launch of our product. We expect that by May 2011, our product will be ready and making some progress in our mission to save babies in India, and soon across the world.
We’ve successfully completed the first phase of our clinical study, and are now conducting the second phase in 3 hospitals in Bangalore, India. The study is proving successful with the 11 infants enrolled. The Embrace Infant Warmer is functioning as expected, providing a warm and stable environment for these tiny babies.
We continue to get request for the Embrace Infant Warmer from all around the world. We received this note from Haiti just last week.
“I am a NICU, Neonatal Nurse and have been volunteering in Haiti for the past year. I work at an orphanage that runs a mini NICU. They provide such great care that most hospitals in the surrounding area send their sick babies to be cared for here. However, transporting preemies in Haiti and keeping them warm at the same time is challenging. Just last week, we received a one pound, ten oz. baby who was just 16 days old. The two hour car ride proved almost fatal to the fragile baby. Upon arrival, the child was extremely hypothermic, and due to cold stress his blood sugar levels plummeted extremely low. We managed to stabilize the baby. This is not the first or the last time that an infant will have to travel for such a long period of time to get care in Haiti, and unfortunately, face the same conditions. We need your product desperately, and look forward to using it in our clinic soon.”
Stories like this one fuel our desire and need to get this product to those that need it most. We are working very hard; making final details for our launch, building partnerships with NGOs and distribution experts to get this product to the mothers and babies that need it most as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
