To make aging an enriching and fulfilling experience, Cedar Village keeps its residents' lives active and engaged, offering programming of all sorts to stimulate, entertain and connect.
Cedar Village is a retirement community located just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. There are 280 elders living on our campus in independent and assisted apartments or the skilled and long term care units of our Health Care Center. Cedar Village's philosophy is to enhance quality of life and one way in which that is done is by offering a wide variety of programs. Through special programming opportunities, residents take part in art programs, music, exercise, lectures and much more.
Special resident activities are very important. This includes special classes such as jewelry making and art; sessions, both individual and group, with a music therapist; exercise with a trainer certified in geriatrics; concerts; lectures; theatre.
Offering enhanced programming increases the quality of life for residents. When individuals are engaged and stimulated, they function at a higher level, their health is better and their lives are more satisfying.
"It is so wonderful to see our residents participating in the bell choir. Jude is an amazing music therapist and Cedar Village is so fortunate to be able to offer these kinds of programs."
