Map of IRRIGATION The tough economic times have hit the country hard. This has led to stervation of people thus leading to loss of life and families due to this food donation could not surfice the problem caused by the drought inthe region of Kisumu. Due to this French embassy launched a program to start irrigation program so as to produce farm produce to the locality. This has mostly raised the standard of living of people in the region and raising the standard of living. Read more.

Field Production

Map of Field production Due to the growing of one type of crop in the same piece of land season after season, which led to build up to build up of pests and diseases and exhaustion of particular nutrient those is where SINGI CBO emerged and encouraged people in the community to practice crop rotation. This is whereby farmers grow different types of crops in the same piece of land in an ordarly sequency which led to maximum utilization of soil nutrients (crop absorb different nutrients) and proper control of soil borne pests and diseases this is because different crop and diseases associate with different crops and improvement of soil fertility which is achieved when legumes are rotated with other crops.
