More than 500 people in El Zapote are without basic santitation and/or clean water and are under a crumbling infrastructure due to the geographic region and weather.
The health promoter reported that there are 37 houses without bathrooms (they just use the ground or have a hole dug and a seat).
Our project will help not only build the latrines, but also educate the local community on sanitation and basic health.
By providing latrines for 37 families, as well as education in basic health care, the 500 total families in the El Zapote community will be growing healthier crops, raising healthier and more educated children, and building a thriving community.
