This project develops an educational curriculum for the Migrations exhibit. These related school outreach programs reinforce classsroom studies on habitats, climate change, and animal migration.
Children learn by doing. These interactive migration exhibits reinforce educational classroom concepts. These hands on exhibits get kids plugged back into nature, environment and animals and away from electronic media. By tying the exhibits to local animals that migrate, children become interested in learning and discovering what is in their own back yards- a belief of Jeff Corwin. We have to get our kids plugged back into nature as they are the future stewards of our environment.
Children will develop a greater understanding and appreciation for nature, animals and their habitats, fragile ecosystems, along with climate change and global warming and its effect on the natural world.
Kids and their families will learn the importance of the environment and its effect on flora and fauna. They also gain a greater understanding of ecosystems in relation to climate change, global warming and environmental stewardship.
