Atma provides intensive support to education non-profits and social enterprises, helping them solve their daily operational challenges and plan for their future growth. Faced by a lack of resources and expertise, high-potential education organisations are often unable to maximize their impact. Currently, Atma's Accelerator Programme works with 15 non-profits, with a reach of 25000 children. We help them build better systems, better programmes and hence deliver more impactful programmes.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Despite growing investment in education in India, 25% of the population is still illiterate. Atma engages in partnerships with high-potential education non-profits in India. These organizations face challenges in funding, staffing, leadership development, resources and manpower. Atma works with them to develop every system in their organization, allowing them to become sustainable and scalable and better deliver their programs to more and more beneficiaries.
How will this project solve this problem?
The skills, resources and holistic support gained through the Atma Portfolio Programme enables the non-profits we work with to build a strong foundation and thus have a greater impact on their beneficiaries. Our graduated partners have gone on to expand their reach, and become thought-leaders in their chosen specialization. We want to help more non-profits build that sort of foundation and go on to achieve great things to solve the problem they're trying to solve.
Potential Long Term Impact
Atma's beneficiaries are Non-Profits. By addressing the needs of growth, these organizations are able to grow their programs and reach exponentially more beneficiaries. This results in higher numbers of beneficiaries and a higher quality of education to beneficiaries. Moreover, the work that we do has the potential to change the operating quality of the Development Sector itself. By continuing to offer our services, we hope, that more non-profits will embrace best practices in operations.
