Through training we will empower the women with skills to improve their income. We teach life skills and sex education to adolescent girls so they can improve their quality of life.
After the Tsunami the fish catch was reduced and educated women from fishing villages need alternative sources of income generation. This project will address long term sustainable solutions through skill training- entrepreneurship, seaweed cultivation, nursery raising, and soap making for 200 women to strengthen their livelihood sources. We provide life skill, sexuality and vocational training for 300 adolescent girls in 11 fishing villages of Tamilnadu, India.
The project will provide alternative livelihoods skills training for 200 women to improve their incomes. We also provide life skill, sexuality and vocational training for 300 adolescent girls to improve their education and quality of life.
500 women and adolescent girls will learn new skills to improve their income and life. That would solve the unemployment and underemployment problem, it would improve the well being of their families. All this will lead to the equality of women.
Economic independence is the first step towards the empowerment of women; it motivates women to claim their rights for equality. It also improves the well being of the family and children.
