Wei Ji Ma - President & CEO
Wei Ji Ma is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester (USA). He obtained his M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics, and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. His active involvement with rural education in China started with a two-month study trip in 2004 on an Avery Foundation fellowship.
Diane Geng - Vice President & Chief Networking Officer
Diane will graduate from Harvard University in June 2007 with a master’s degree in education. She is a Harvard University Reynolds Foundation fellow in Social Entrepreneurship. After graduating from UC Davis in 2004, she studied rural education in China as a US Fulbright Scholar and was a Kroc fellow at National Public Radio (NPR) in Washington, DC.
Sara Lam - Secretary of the Board of Directors
With a master's from Harvard in International Education Policy and teaching experience in Latin America and Eastern Europe, Sara has trained rural teachers in China and lived and worked full-time at a Community Center in Beijing addressing the needs of rural migrant parents and children. She co-authored a Chinese primary school textbook and has served as RCEF's chief representative in China
