As Thoothukudi District is the port / Harbour district so many truckers migrants & sex workers are numerous. So HIV prevalence is more So the Children Infected AIDS (CIA) also plenty Already we served with global giving I & II phases Still their need is enormous. So unique needy present activities evolved from CIA. We want to provide training on Prevention, Care & Support, Income Generation, Referral for Govt.schemes and also CIA counseling Child to Child Education Terminal Care& Get to gether
CIA are orphan or Semi Orphan Their care takers are economically very poor If single parent or widow is also affected by HIV They don't know look after the infected CIA As parents HIV infected, they have no income generation Govt.has provided welfare schemes But they do not know how to get CIA need psycho social support CIA become mostly school dropouts there are gap between CIA / FAA and health providers In order to full fill all these holistically urgently need a well defined III phase project
We need to provide trainings for their health seeking behavior As Govt.welfare schemes did not reach them We need to train them how to get Home Care guides are needed between CIA, FAA & health professionals As CIA affects psychologically more, need to provide counseling Because of the school dropouts need to provide free tuition centre.Plan to provide training for HIV mother on PPTCT and also terminal care, emergency relief & Get To gether& Child to child education in these III phase project
Being provided PPTCT (Prevention of Parent to child transmission training to HIV pregnant mother, we can get HIV free children. As their parents economic activity is developed they became self supportive. As we provide training the get Govt. welfare schemes, they themselves can get them child to child education & Get together. In order to protect the PLHA provide terminal care emergency relief, care & support. In order to arrange trained Home care guide (part time) for all these necessary helps
