1.Employee engagement programs of local corporate houses with IDEA.
During the past couple of months, IDEA received many requests from local corporate houses to get involved with our programs and activities, as a part of their employee engagement program. This is a ‘win-win’ situation for the employees to get involved with Social work organizations & in creating opportunities for NGO beneficiaries.
a. Fun filled activity by employees from Tetra Pak.
The program started by an Interactive Orientation Session at the Tetra Pak Pune office followed by a fun-filled interactive Mug painting activity with employees and children of IDEA . The session aimed at introducing iProtect Employee Volunteering Program to the employees of Pune office and to develop an understanding among the employees about Volunteering, what a Volunteer can do .Fifty-one employees attended the orientation session .
Post Orientation, the interested employees started towards the Activity Venue at a Corporation School – Kothrud to meet the kids of IDEA .The children of one of the study centers of IDEA were eagerly waiting for the employeeVolunteers to arrive. The activity began with a huge round of applause to welcome the volunteers. It continued with an energizer to involve volunteers and children enthusiastically and also help them get involved with each other.Through the energizer the volunteers and children were grouped. One of the Volunteers came forward and introduced that all the volunteers were employees of Tetra Pak. The children could easily identify themselves with the Tetra Pak Juice packages and hence they could easily relate to the employees. Post introduction, the volunteers of each group was provided with the materials for Mug painting activity. The duration of the activity was 45 mins.
The Mug painting session was creative yet interactive where both the employees and children sharedtheir ideas about how to use the mug space appropriately and paint it byuse of innovative colour combinations. The activity also enhanced one to one interaction between the volunteer and the children.
In the meanwhile, snack boxes and small bottles of water were distributed to children by the volunteers.
