Greetings from Orchid Garden Nepal! From April 2011, we have begun a Grade 1 at our Orchid Garden School which was previously only a preschool. We now have 174 children at OGN with classes from 8am until parents pick their children up as late as 6pm in the evening. We have also recently added some older children to our new Grade 1 class that are 11 and 12 years old because they have had no other education. We are helping catch them up so they are ready for schools outside and won't have a problem coping with the curriculum. We also took the Orchid Garden preschool children to a Fun Park Visit in Kathmandu in May 2011! We are also offering an after school program for older students to come to a safe, happy place where they can work on their homework while their parents are still working. We will soon begin to have computer classes for older students and after school children!
