This project provides monthly financial support for the continuous education of 50 poor,meritorious,village children in Tamil Nadu, India,by routing the money through their bank accounts
Central Tamil Nadu receives no rain & no irrigation.Farmers have to practice only the unproductive Dry Land Farming.So,most of the families live in constant poverty.By the time their children reach the age of about13 years,parents can no longer afford to keep them in school.The children are crucially deprived of the chance for a proper education while the cycle of poverty continues & more vulnerable to dropping out & require bursary/financial support to continue the education for bright future
Paying for the school fee,Uniform,Books,Note books,stationery,foot wears etc through a joint bank Account (mother and child as operators),giving them free Tuition in the Evening Study Centres,monitoring & evaluating their improvement,guiding them.
The project will educate 50 poor children for the next three years allowing them to complete Secondary School Level Education.Thereby equip them for better job opportunities in future which will prevent them from becoming Child laborers at early age
I am from a poor family.I was the topper in my ( 8th) class.However,my parents decided to stop my education so that they could at least educate my brother.But, with SPPD's help I am studying now.
