Jean Semler - President and co-founder, ChangeALIfe Uganda
Jean graduated from the Seton Hall University School of Nursing and has a master's degree in Education from Montclair State University. Following her graduation, Jean first worked as a clinical nurse, followed by a second career with Merck & Co. Inc. Although now retired, her position as an HIV Executive Business Manager provided her broad experience with the health challenges of HIV/AIDS.
Dave Thelan - Vice President and co-founder, ChangeALife Uganda
David received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, his master's degree in Counseling and Supervision from Kean University and an EDS degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Seton Hall University. David had a successful career as a guidance counselor at Old Bridge High School, Old Bridge Township School District.
Father Lawrence Kizito Kimbowa - Director and co-founder, ChangeALife Uganda
Father Lawrence Kizito Kimbowa, along with Jean Semler and David Thelen, founded ChangeALife Uganda in 2007. The inspiration behind our organization was his own experience as a child. He is dedicated to giving the children of Uganda the opportunity he was given as a child-an education and a chance to make a difference. Prior to ChangeALife Uganda, he was Chancellor of Diocese of Kasana-Luweero.
