Remember seeing your friends again on the first day of school? Our kids in Uganda started a new school year on Monday, and the week has been filled with hugs and squeals of delight.
Because of your generous donations, poverty won't be able to rob these children of their future. Instead, they'll be able to attend school and learn the skills and knowledge they'll need to become builders and leaders in their community. Calvary Primary School is filled to capacity, and sixteen Primary 7 students passed their Primary Leaving Exams, all with division 2 or higher grades (like a B+)!
As one of the girls recently wrote to her sponsor, "Thank you for everything you have done to make me wonderful and amazing."
TOUCH (The Outreach to Unfortunate Children's Hurts) has been helping children in Kampala since 1997. TOUCH Founder Sara Sebyala started with just one child and some help from her church - and now over 500 children are in school.
With the new year, the TOUCH Program is now becoming "Bridges 4 Kidz". It's the same great program, just a new name. We're excited about the future, and we look forward to changing more lives with you in 2014!
February 12 is our next Bonus Day - GlobalGiving will match your donation by 30%! Matching funds run out very quickly, so plan to give as close to 9:00am EST as possible.
THANK YOU for all you do!
