This project provides free and qualified primary education, nutritional reinforcement and recreational activities for 160 orphans and victims of conflict from the municipality of Santander, Colombia.
Many rural and suburban children in Colombia face abandon, violence, and the lack of coverage for basic needs such as adequate education and nutrition. Under these conditions, children tend to drop out of school and get recruited by illegal armed groups.
The project focuses on helping every child to reach their appropriate grade level according to their age, and bringing 160 children back to school.
This project is part of a comprehensive community intervention program, 'Vision en Familia', which is helping improve the quality of life of 5,000 extremely vulnerable families from the municipality of Santander, Colombia.
