Map of Developing Education Education is pivotal in the transformation of the society.It is a pragmatic tool ,a catalyst for real time development.Many people are now seeing the need to invest their efforts and resources in this vast area of demand.In 2009i came to appreciate the efforts made by the director of browns View Academy benefiting personally by sending my son Derrrick to the school.Derrick is now in standard Two and has a great prospect for advancement.It is weak only in financial needs but supports itself through fare school fees that balances the burden parents benefit hence the community. An Inspiring Story

Map of AN INSPIRING STORY Charles Washiali Omutimba was a very poor boy compared to any body else you could imagine of. He was a bright student at primary level and pursued her education and passed highly at Shitoto Primary school. He was called to join Nyang'ori High School.At first, his chance to join a high school was being wasted up because he lacked the shopping and the school fees altogether. Fortunately, the doors opened up and a person devoted to pay his school fees. He successfully schooled at Nyang'ori until he reached form four. When he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) he passed and got a B+. Omutimba lucky enough the sponsor once again devoted to pay his school fees with some help from Higher Education Loans Board (H.E.L.B). Again he successfully finished his course study and graduated to become a high school teacher at Got-Rateng High School in Kissi. Omutimba's life gradually began changing from that time he was employed till now. He has married an educated working woman who has also boosted his life highly. At this time, he has gone for further studies in Kenyatta University to pursue Masters degree. Read more.

Staying With A Guardian

Map of Staying with a guardian In the last thirty years, my parents were not able to pay my school fees for primary level education . My father and mother were not able to raise income from farming for food and income. A relative to my family who was saved and honest took me for the stay in his home. He and the family could provide all the basic needs especially, food, shelter, educate and clothing and even medical needs. From std three to std seven when I sat for my KCPE in 1976. I passed highly with A's and when I was called to secondary education I was happy to join and the guardian could still give a fraction of money for my education. When I finished learning, I got a job with an organisation known as ACTION - AID having worked within for ten years. I am very grateful for the guardians efforts. Read more.

Street Children Menace

Map of Street children menace The menace of street children has been witnessed in almost all towns and urban centers in Kenya. These has caused rise in insecurity especially during the night since some of them get violent and attack passersby and dwellers. sometimes they through human refuse and dirt to anyone who passes by as they solicit for money and food items. These are young boys and girls who should be in school but due to parents failure to promote education for their children school fees or other reasons they opt to go to the streets. Kakamega town has since seen the number increase day by day and these is posting a challenge to the dwellers. An organization Kakamega rehab center came down and is currently rehabilitating some of them with help from other organizations. Read more.

Bay On Map

Map of Bay on map In the village of Kindu bay Adra Finland was doing things big for the community. Their vision was clear and they had everything in place ie resources required to achieve their goals. They decided to empower the community and general awareness. They also feed children of Kindu and even pay school fees for the students of the Kindu bay. They also went a step ahead to provide clothing and also constructed a resource center where women could practise and train on different skills of art work honestly they transform this village in big way. Helping Orphans And Widows

Map of HELPING ORPHANS AND WIDOWS In my community, there are many cases of men dying generally leaving orphans and widows. There was a need for one of this left family. The widow left could not affort for her own blanket for covering herself and her children. Our organization 'DESCIPLES' made an arrangement for bringing some money through the 'HARAMBEE' from our desciple members. We as an organization managed to pay for the school fees of this particular pupil to form one; we also bought blankets for the families which can be supported by pictures taken on this day. Therefore by working together as an organization we managed to help this misrable family; up to now we are educating some orphans from my community. Read more.
