Educate 200 Children in Kenya



This project will support 200 orphans and vulnerable children to access and complete education by providing sanitary towels to girls, noon meals and learning materials.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Low enrollment and completion rate of education especially by the orphaned children as a result, there is high illiteracy, poverty levels. Low community development and indulgence in dangerous activities by the youth. With scaled up access and completion of education; poverty level will reduce and development will pick up for the 200 children drawn from different households.

How will this project solve this problem?

Most households survive on one meal a day which have affected children concentration in class. Girls fall victim to cheap favours. The project seeks to mitigate by providing noon meals, sanitary towels and learning materials to scale up completion.

Potential Long Term Impact

More children will concentrate on education completion thereby scaling up community development while reducing poverty level documented by Government latest statistics at 60%. 2009 Government censor is 5000 people in the affected area.
