Goat Changes My Life

Map of GOAT CHANGES MY LIFE In the year 2002, Africa now introduced dairy goat farming in kisumu. Mama mary initially before the project starting to feed her faming and educate her children saving vegetables at kajolo market. When Africanow came, they introduced dairy goat,and mama mary bought 4 dairly goats from a loan accessed from her women group. The 4 goat have now given back to 16goats asley give back twice per year and each goat she sells at 14,000/= and 1 litre of goat ilk is sold for 120/= Now many lives in apartment house, educates her children in university and supports orphans affected by HIV/AIDS by giving them milk and other material support. Macro-finance Scheme

Map of MACRO-FINANCE SCHEME Its adevelopmental small metre finnechel business social loan to develop the community. It is also capacit building small scale farmers n how to farm as a business. This empowers the mouths,women and the disabled people can finace budget at grassroot level. It is done to avoid idleness drug abuse and school going during holidays. Much emphasis is put on education about HIV /AIDS due to nutrition. That is indeginous vegetables and dairy goat milk. More so educates the community about eradication of poverty. Read more.

Be Keenly About Some Advice

Map of BE KEENLY ABOUT SOME ADVICE It was last year on the month of April. There was a man who came in the community & stayed about two weeks. This man started spreading the tribalism in our community by saying that the Kalenjin people they were suppose not to do work in the community but the Abaluyha people. This makes some people following what he said & the Kalenjin they started backsliding in their economic activities. This totally change the community as some people they leae their farms uncultivated & some of them started depending in the other people. The abaluyha people they do their work with out their effort so that to obtain food and they improve. The Kalenjin they came to realise that they on the other one whom are loosing & eventually they come back for their economic activities. But the steps that the Luhya had taken it was very big compared to kalenjin. Read more.

Empowerment

Map of EMPOWERMENT The need to empower the local people about importance of having some saving with thrm have been raised several times at the church and the Barasas in the village Women and the youths were told to form small groups where they can come up with a basic need of each member a certain amount of money in a rotating basis The money would help engage in business or any other thing that may empower the members be economically empowered .A local NGO had even offered to give small loans to the groups to up lift their incomes in business they'll be undertaking This has changed the image of the community as every one is involved in one thing or another that will help uplift their social status may it be farming or business.
